iPhone Charger Port with lint/dirt
As shown in the image above, you can see that the charger isn't going in completely. Charging issues on this iPhone were caused by lint inside the customers pocket.
Your brand new iPhone X not charging properly and now you are frustrated that your phone is about to die. What if I told you that you can probably fix it yourself.
This can be one of two issues:
Issue #2 is the most common problem iPhone users have. I would say about about 65% of customers that come into our Santa Ana and Orange County phone repair locations have this issue. Issue #1 get's into more technical stuff that we prefer not get into in this blog post. Maybe in the future we will show you how to replace the charging port.
As shown in the image above, you can see that the charger isn't going in completely. Charging issues on this iPhone were caused by lint inside the customers pocket.
The charger should plugin without any issues. In the picture above we removed lint from a customers iPhone. As you can see that lint is about the size of the home button.
This is a pretty simple fix. All you need is some tweezers(preferable one with a pointy tip) and air duster (if not you can blow into it). Use the tweezers in the middle of the charging port and be careful of the connecting prongs located on front and back side of the charging port.
